Hero in My Life
My Hero in my life would have to be my older brother Christopher. We don’t just consider ourselves brother and sister but Best Friends. Growing up was tough for the both of us but we made sure to stick together. He has always been the one that I have gone to for everything and is very supportive of me. He encourages me to do the right thing and to stay strong in my faith with God. I find him as a person that shows great leadership and courage. About two years ago my brother came to me with the decision to join the Navy. At first I was very confused that he would want to move away and risk his life. But when thinking of all the qualities of a Sailor in the Navy they began to describe my brother. He is a man of leadership and someone that puts others before himself. He told me that this was his responsibility and needs to do this for his country. Even though I was sad that he had to move away from me but I was so proud that he would put his life at risk for his country. He is my Hero and someone that I will always look up to. He means the world to me and not sure what I would do without him. I hope that I can take these qualities and use these in my everyday life and become someone like he did. I think he is a great role model for younger guys because for someone that was raised in a tough family but still came out of it strong and did something with his life.
