Fall is my favorite time of the year because of the beautiful colors that come with it. I always enjoy going for walks and just looking at all of the different colored trees. This Fall Break I stayed at home all week with my family. My sister went to Louisville for the week so the house was slightly quieter than usual. I really just got to sit back and look how beautiful things are, life. Our family room has no blinds or anything covering our windows so I love sitting in the big old chair and just watching the sun rise and the sun set, it’s absolutely gorgeous. One of the days my dog and I went for a walk around the neighborhood. I was very surprised that she actually walked because she usually just sits in the middle of the street and doesn’t get up until we turn around to go back home. But this time we made it around the block a couple of times. While we were walking I was just staring at the amazing trees and watching the leaves fall to the ground one at a time. You can’t but wonder what the purpose of a leaf is because all they do is grow on the tree and then fall off and die. That doesn’t seem like a very exciting life, yes you get to look all pretty for a season but after that you just dry up and die. I think I could look at my life in the same way. I am growing right now and when I begin to turn colors then that am me fulfilling my purpose on this earth. Once I fall and dry up to die then my life was surely well spent if it was meant that my time on earth has come to an end. Leaves are a weird concept and its crazy how there is never one that is the same. They are all very unique like everyone in this world. The fall is my favorite and I wish that it lasted just a bit longer because I really do enjoy looking out the window and just admiring the beautiful colors.

Re-Living the Day

A day that I would love to go back and do again is the day that my friend came home from Germany after being there for two months. I can remember the look he gave me when he walked into McDonalds, he gave me the biggest smile ever. Since he was in Germany we didn't get to talk that much because the the time difference and the cost of using the phone. But it was so good to finally see him again. We just sat in McDonalds and talked about everything that has happened since he was gone. I can remember all the crazy stories and all the things he got to see while he was there. He showed me pictures and they were absolutely beautiful and were making want to go there so bad. The best part of the whole visit was that I just got to sit down and listen to him talk, it was the best thing ever.

Thank You.

I really want to take the time and to think my aunt Rebecca. She has always been there for me and has always supported me. When I was younger I would always go over to her and stay the night and would always ask if I could just move in with her. Of course she told me that I could live with her anytime I needed to and that you would love to have me. She is a great role model and I love her funny personality. She is really layed back and really shows that she cares about you. So I want to thank you Aunt "Beba" Rebecca for everything you have done for me and for always making me feel loved! THANKS!

One Silly Old Man

One person that I look up to in my life is my Papaw Kenny. Everyone says that I act just like him which would have to mean that I have a great sense of humor. Me and my papaw are best friends, he is someone that I go to about anything that is going on. Every Sunday afternoon you can always find the two of us sitting on the couch watching TV but most of the time we both end up falling asleep. There are weekends that we just drive up to the Lake and stay for the day, the Lake is his favorite place to go when he has had a long day at work. He is a man that has worked for everything he has and I love that about him because that has made me a hard worker. I think that my papaw is a wonderful man and I love him so much. About a week ago his mother, my great-grandmother passed away and that was the hardest time in his life. It was so hard to see him like that, it broke my heart. I will never forget while we were at the funeral I went up to him and gave him a hug and in my ear he told me "you look so pretty, grandma would have thought you looked so pretty." That is something that will stay with me and I will never forget. He is a strong man and he was so strong for his sisters. I hope that when I grow older that I can be like my Papaw, a man of love and strenght.

Tell Me A Story...

Every year my family goes to Rough River for Labor Day and we stay all weekend. We are big eaters so there is always plenty of food to eat. Most of the weekend is spent on the water, fishing, corn-hole, sitting by the fire, and hiking. There are aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, sisters, memaw and papaw's all up there, it is a tight fit but no one complains because we are just happy to be able to go at all.

I can remember one Labor Day weekend when I decided that I wanted to learn how to water ski. I had watched my older brothers do it and just knew that I could do it too. So we went out and bought some training skies so I could practice with them. My oldest brother and me were just floating out in the water trying to get use to floating on your back. He was giving me all these pointers but I couldn't catch them all because I was more focused on getting bit by a snake and falling on my face. Well we got the right ski on and then put the left one on, as soon as that left one got on I knew that it was game time. I began getting really nervous knowing that soon that fast boat was going to try to rip me out of the water on these two boards. I was just wondering how in the world they were going to be able to keep me from sinking. The rope was in my hands and arms were straight just waiting to give the okay to my papaw to take off. Once I felt comfortable I gave him a nod and he put that boat into high speed, I came up out of the water and to my amazement I was on top of the water skiing. That day I accomplished something and was proud that I actually did it. Now we are trying to teach my little sister to ski but is some what harder than when I was taught how to ski

Dreams...

My over all hopes and dreams are to be successful in what I do. When I was in Elementary school we had classes that there would be a few special education kids that would join us. I really got attached to them and began to build relationships with them. I loved helping them out and it was a great experience. I think that from then on I knew that I wanted to be a Special Education Teacher because I really enjoyed helping the kids. I know that there aren't that many that have the patience or ability to handle the kids but I think that I would be great at it. I hope to make a difference in someones life with giving them great advice and guideness. There is a lot that I want to do during the time I have on this earth. There is so much that I want to accomplish and get to experience. I have a heart for missions and helping others. I feel that I have so many opportunities to witness to people and give them encouraging ways. I just want to take everyday as a day that I can accomplish something and feel good about things that I do for others. I want be able to serve others and put them before myself.

If your going through HELL...

If your going through HELL
The song by Rodney Atkins "If your going through Hell" is kind of the story of my life right now. Just about everything is going wrong and I can't seem to win for anything. I only wish things would just go back to normal and bad things would never happen. I can't seem to grasp why things happen for a reason. A friend told me that "if it's meant to be, it will happen on its own" but how I am suppose to believe this when I want everything to go my way. It's hard to fight through things when you are so worn out from fighting all of the time. The song says to just keep on moving and don't slow down and I like that it doesn't want you to give in or give up. When hard times come into my life I know there is something there that I can always go to and it's my faith in God. I know that at the end of the day he is always there with open arms to take me in. So if you are going through Hell, I encourage you to keep going and never to give up!!!
